NETTLETON
- Services for Arlinda Gail Turner, 43, who died Friday, January
6th at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will
be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 10th in the Tisdale-Lann
Memorial Nettleton Chapel with the Revs. Robert Maxey and Billy
Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in Keys Cemetery.
Mrs. Turner was born in Waukegan, Illinois to Harley Ellis and Marie
Horton Mattox. She lived most of her life in Nettleton and had
resided in Grenada for the past five months. She was formerly
employed as a nurse's aide in several nursing homes, and was a
Pentecostal. She enjoyed fishing and being with her family.
She leaves a daughter, Lashay Collier of Pontotoc; a son, Dustin Collier
of Pontotoc; her parents; four brothers, Harley Mattox, Jr.
(Janet) of Tishomingo, Harold Mattox of Pontotoc, Kenneth Mattox
of Nettleton, and Norman Mattox (Sheila) of Sherman; a grandson,
Haden Collier of Pontotoc. She was preceded in death
by a brother, George Mattox.
Pallbearers will be James Paul Mattox, Jessie Mattox, Adrin Mattox, Mike
McCollum, Steve McCollum, and Mark McCollum. Honorary
pallbearers are Lyle Collier and Davis Kisor.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January
9th, at the funeral home.
