ABERDEEN - James Eldred Stark, Jr. departed this life on May 18, 2018. Born in Sycamore, Illinois on December 23, 1953, he was the son of James and Eileen Stark. Jimmy learned everything he knew about life in the heart of bluegrass country in Kentucky where he learned to sheer sheep, cut tobacco, and drive tractors even though below the legal driving age. Jimmy and his little brother, Timmy, became unofficial farmhands during their adolescent years living an idyllic life on a Kentucky farm. Later and after having moved to Monroe County, Jimmy trained as a welder and operated a successful welding business many years ago. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with visitation prior and officiated by Dr. Lloyd Sweatt. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, James Eldred Stark, Sr. and a sister, Lynette Stark. He is survived by his mother, his daughter, Heather Riley (William), two grandchildren, Jack and Lexie of Greenwood Springs. He also leaves a sister, Luanne Thompson, of Aberdeen and a brother, Tim Stark (Anna) of Amory; four nieces, Lauren Stark of Aberdeen; Dr. Candy Thompson-Powell (Stephen) of Memphis; Tiffany Kilpatrick of Oxford; and Mary M. Thompson of Southaven; three nephews, Reed Thompson of Nashville; Matt Stark (Melanie) of Bristol, England; and Ross Stark (Heather) of Amory; four grandnieces, Alyssa Gates, Sophie James, Schylar Powell, and Anna Brooke Stark; and seven grandnephews, Collin Thompson, Rhex Lowe, Corbyn Powell, Anders Powell, Riley Stark, Thomas Stark, and Daniel Stark.
