JANICE   MCCLURE  BOWEN  SMITH

   ABERDEEN - Services for Janice McClure Bowen Smith, 72, who died Thursday, September 2nd at Care Center of Aberdeen, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4th, in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Aberdeen Chapel with Revs. Truman Thompson and Steve Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.
  Mrs. Smith was born in West Point to George Daggett and Mae Elizabeth Bradley McClure. She lived most of her life in Aberdeen, and had been a resident of West Point since 1994. She graduated from West Point High School and attended Mississippi University for Women. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Aberdeen and First Presbyterian Church in West Point. She was a homemaker.
  She leaves her husband, Jerald Smith of West Point; a daughter, Julia Bowen Casper and husband, Michael, of Atlanta, Georgia; a son, Nolan Bowen and wife, Shelly, of Caledonia; four grandchildren, Cason Casper, Emily Casper, Bradley Bowen and Anna Kate Bowen. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Allen Bowen; a son, George Landon Bowen.
  Pallbearers will be Billy Scruggs, Milford Forest, John Clemmons, Daniel Littwiller, Dale Pierce, Andy Danovsky and Walter Lann, Jr.
  Honorary pallbearers are trustees of First United Methodist Church of Aberdeen and elders and deacons of First Presbyterian Church of West Point.
  Visitation will take place from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 3rd, at the funeral home.
