NETTLETON - Georgia Olene
Randolph Hester, 92, passed away Saturday, February
17, 2018 at Diversacare of Amory after an extended
illness. She was born on July 31, 1925 in Itawamba
County to Allen and Ora Warren Randolph. She was a
lifelong resident of Nettleton, a retired cook
at the Nettleton High School Cafeteria, and a
member of the Nettleton Church of Jesus Christ. She
loved living for the Lord, cooking, making lye soap,
and being with her family.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m.. at
the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in
Nettleton with the Rev. Scott Kitchens officiating.
Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha Jane Watson
of Nettleton; two sons, Ricky Hester (Contessa) and
Mark Hester, all of Nettleton; one sister, Maxine
Kennedy of AL; 19 great grandchildren; a special
granddaughter, Kim Harris (Rickey) of Nettleton; a
special great granddaughter, Karli Rose of
She was preceded in death by her husband, John
Claxton Hester; her parents; one daughter, Janice
Sue Hester; two sons, Merle Travis Hester and
Charles Wayne Hester; five sisters, Rader Mayo,
Pearlie Clark, Ernie Harlow, Betsy Hargett, Ruby
Nelson; five brothers, Talmadge, Ellis, Dee, Wallace
& Junior Randolph.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Hester, Josh Hester,
John Hester, Allen Barnett, Rickey Harris, & Gary
Honorary pallbearer will be Kevin Watson.
Visitation will continue Monday from 9 a.m. until
time for services, at the funeral home.
