Eric Wayne ” Magoo” McGarrh, 35, died Thursday, January 3, 2019, at his residence. He was born July 21, 1983, in Columbus, MS to Bernice McGarrh, Jr. and Shelia Bailey McGarrh. He was a lifelong resident of Monroe County. He worked in the upholstery business for United Furniture.

Services will be Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Blaylock, Bro. Malcolm Tidwell and Tony Rooks officiating. Burial will be in Easter Cemetery. Tisdale - Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his father Bernice McGarrh, Jr. of Gattman, MS; one daughter Daphne McGarrh of Amory, MS; one sister Nikki McGarrh of Gattman, MS; one brother Andy McGarrh of Pontotoc, MS and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and an Aunt Mary Horne. Pallbearers will be Thomas Poe, Lou Jackson, Johnny Hamilton, Billy Hamilton, Dell Lackie and James Moses. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Rooks , Flex Jackson and Kirk Cameron. Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home.     I just heard about Eric’s passing and I am so sorry. We went to school together and although we may not have been the closest of friends, it’s still a hurt to know that someone you took classes with and walked the same halls as left so young. I pray for peace and comfort for his family and dearest friends. God bless you all!
