SHANNON -   Donald Wayne Johnson, 55, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017, at North MS Medical Center following a short illness. He was born on July 31, 1962 in Sulligent, AL to Billy and Ludie Williams Johnson. He was a native of Tupelo, but had resided in Shannon for the past 25 years and was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed doing mechanical work on automobiles and being with his family. 
  Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Grove UPC of Tupelo with the Rev. Danny Robbins and the Rev. Bill Hale officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettletonis in charge of the arrangements.
  Survivors include his father, Billy Johnson of Shannon; one daughter, Lori Johnson of Sherman; one son, Corey Johnson (Jessica) of Pontotoc; one sister Patricia Posey (Bart) of Pontotoc; three brothers, Bobby Johnson of Shannon, David Johnson (Barbara) of Nettleton, & Darrell Johnson (Swana) of Pontotoc; five grandchildren; a special friend, Dora "Sissy" Johnson of Shannon.
  He was preceded in death by his mother; two brothers, Gregory and Arnold Johnson.
  Pallbearers will be Jody Johnson, Dan Strommer, Eric Wilson, Wesley Johnson, Blake Johnson, Nathan Sellers.
  An honorary pallbearer will be Larry Page.
