SHANNON -   Rena Bell Springer Hester, 92, died  Wednesday, Jan. 31st  at Nortdh Mississippi  Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born on July 30, 1925 in Dorsey to Elisha Springer and Laura Bell Springer Jones. She was a native of Wren, but had resided in Shannon for the past 21 years, was a homemaker, and a member of the Shannon Church of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed working puzzles, canning, quilting, cooking and being with her family.
  Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Shannon Church of Jesus Christ with the Rev. Paul Beam and the Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Shannon Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton will be in charge of the arrangements.
  Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Hamlett of Amory and Debra Morris (Ricky) of Shannon; three sons, Herbert Springer (Nona) of Decatur, Al, Carl Hester, Jr. (Linda) of Shannon, and Danny Hester (Angie) of Randolph; one sister, Alice Allred of Eupora; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by by her husband, Winfred Hester; her parents; one sister, Agnes Tackett; one brother, Tommy Springer; one granddaughter, Melissa Hamlett.
  Pallbearers will be Joe McCommon, Randle Hester, D.J. Hester, Larry Hamlett, Carl Kent, Herbert Springer, Jr.
  Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Tackett, Trey Wheeler, Patrick Wheeler, Devon Hester, Ty Hester, and J.J. McCright.
  Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Friday from 12 noon until time for services at the church.
