NETTLETON -   Amos Clyde Gist, 69, passed away suddenly, .Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at his residence . He was born on August 19, 1948 in Lauderdale County to Amos Road and Vina Elizabeth Pruitt Gist. He was a native of Nettleton, a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, was a retired machine operator at Tecumseh in Verona for fifteen years, and was a Baptist. Clyde enjoyed watching Westerns, Nascar Racing and being with his friends.
  Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with Dr. Marty Comer officiating. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery in Itawamba County.
  Survivors include one daughter, Tina Gist Christopher (Jimmy) of Des Moine, IA; three sisters, Betty Worthey (James) and Bonnie Guess (Jerry), all of Nettleton, & Juanita Anthony (Vance) of Tupelo; one brother, Jimmy Ray Gist (Winnie) of Nettleton; 3 grandchildren, Bailey, Emilee, & Grant; 2 great grandchildren; & several nieces and nephews.
  He was preceded in death by his parents; & one brother, William "Bill" Gist (Linda).
  Pallbearers will be Chris Gist, Kevin Gist, Cory Gist, Troy Underwood, Jeremy Carter, Justin Worthey.
  Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Mack Lamb and Jimmy Hood.
  Visitation will be Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. and continue from 12 Noon until time for services Saturday.
