NETTLETON - Shirley Sullivan Finney, 75, passed
away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Gilmore Memorial
Regional Medical Center in Amory after an extended
illness. She was born on July 11, 1942 in Lee County
to Charlie and Bessie Worthey Sullivan. She had
lived most all of her life in Nettleton, was a
former seamstress, and a member of Richmond
Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed going to church,
coloring, reading, spending time with her family, &
going out to eat.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at
the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial funeral Home in
Nettleton with the Rev. Danny Finney and the Rev.
Ricky Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Liberty
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Conwill
(Jerry) of Amory, JoNell Ross (Ronnie) of Saltillo,
& Debbie Lawson (Tim) of Wren; one son, Danny Finney
of Byhalia; one sister, Charlene Conn of Nettleton;
one brother-in-law, Willie Finney (Dorthy) of
Nettleton; eight grandchildren, Joni Smith, Connie
Martin, Susan Mercer, Tiffany Harlow, Rob Elliott,
A.J. Elliott, Michael Capps, & David Capps; one step
grandchild; eleven great grandchildren; one great
great grandchild; two special friends, Johnny Reid
of Nettleton and Amanda Reifers of Amory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe
Finney; her parents; one daughter, Dianne Finney
Morgan; one sister, Eva Mae Sancillo; one brother,
Pallbearers will be Rob Elliott, A.J. Elliott,
David Capps, Jeremy Smith, Andrew Smith, Tony
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Conwill, Tim
Lawson, & Ronnie Ross.
Visitation will be Tuesday from
5 to 8 p.m. and
will continue Wednesday
from 12 Noon until
time for services, all at the funeral home.
