CONNIE ELLARD
ABERDEEN - Mrs. Connie Sue Allen Ellard passed from this w o r l d t o h e r h e a v e n l y h o m e September 4, 2017 at 7:00 am at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Mississippi. She was
93.
Mrs. Ellard was with her daughter, Mrs. Connie Ellard Bunch, her son in law, Mr. Gary M i c h a e l B u n c h , a n d h e r grandsons, Daniel Ellard Bunch and Andrew Michael Bunch. Mrs. Ellard was born in Steele, Missouri, on December 16, 1923. Her parents were Carl Allen and Marie Crest Allen. She grew up in Ruleville, Mississippi, and lived in Durant, Mississippi before moving to Aberdeen, Mississippi, where she and her husband, Mr. William Livingston Ellard made their home. He preceded her in death in 1979. They were active members of the First Baptist Church and also attended Southside Baptist Church in Aberdeen. She was a Christian and depended on Jesus  Christ for strength through her life, even witnessing for Him in her assisted living home, Windsor Place, in Columbus.

With a sparkling personality, ambition, and hard work, Mrs. Ellard had several careers over her lifetime. She was an Avon District Manager, a beauty consultant for Foster’s Pharmacy, an interviewer for the United States Census Bureau, a jewelry representative for Marjarob Jewelry, and a hostess for The Magnolias. She often said, “I was able to work with what I love,  people, beauty supplies, and fine jewelry.”

She leaves her daughter Connie Bunch and son in law Gary Bunch of Tillatoba, Mississippi; h e r grandson, Daniel Bunch, his wife, Jayme Bunch, and granddaughter, Aeralyn Grace Bunch of Metairie, Louisiana, and Andrew Michael Bunch. Her grandson, Jonathan William Bunch preceded her in death in 2013.

Mrs. Ellard was known for her pithy sayings and often remarked to her daughter, “Don’t forget your
lipstick!” She also advised, “You need to be smart, but it never hurts to be beautiful.” Mrs. Ellard will be remembered by many for her kindness, her wisdom, and her ability to make  other people’s lives better. She wrote her epitaph: “She was not all that she could be but she tried.”

Funeral Services will be at TisdaleLann Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Mississippi, on Friday, September 8th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m.
